Hello there, I got a problem using Geforce 7600GS with Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum. After I've installed the soundcard my display went into 4 color mode, and in 'Device Manager' the display adapter announced that "it cannot find free resources to work properly". I replaced the 7600GS card with my older card, Geforce 5200, and this card works fine with the soundcard.

Can you help me solve this problem so I can use the 7600GS card with the soundcard?

thanks,
Udi

Since it sounds like a resource conflict, mabye you should use a different PCI-Slot for the x-fi. And make sure you disable all devices you don“t need in your bios (onboard sound for example!).

I did all of those steps -disabling ac' 97, and changing pci slot. no luck :(

if you havent already, updated the nvidia drivers to the newest available with the fx5200 in and then change the cards.
