OC KILLED MOBO???

Hi,

I made an overclock, turned my Sempron64 2800 into a 2GHz proc., with 250MHz FSB, changing just the memory ratio(333:400), but left the HT as 4x.

My question is if I changed the HT to 3x or so, would the mobo still be functional??? It worked for about 2 months before it simple stopped working

asus k8n-e deluxe
Sempron64 2800(1.6GHz)
DDR400 mem
Seventeam 400W PSU
sapphire 9600XT

The CPU is still operational, Im using it right now on a new mobo, the PSU I doubt very much has some problem.

I asked about lessening the HT cause I think that the north bridge is what have fried, but it coulb be anything else, related or not to the overclock.
