The seek speeds won't be anything amazing but the data transfer rates will be bigger up to the size of the bus the drives are on. For instance if your bus can only transfer 150mb/second and you have enough drives to supply 200mb/second you'll still only get 150mb/second.

As mpilchfamily said, is it worth the risk of losing your data? (actually he said loosing but thats ok :D)

If you are using so many drives in a raid 0 then you're going to need a backup drive for anything important. The meantime between errors goes up in Raid 0 when you have more drives. 4 drives means 400% more chance of an error, 8 drives is obviously higher. If you want to be extra safe you can go raid 0+1 or raid 1+0 and have a mirror or two arrays or have an array of mirrors. It costs most though, but gives you some security while getting your raid 0 speed benefits.
