Tracing the Product Key would do you no good, as the pirated keys were
widely publicized years ago. To seek compensation, simply contact
whomever sold you the computer. If that fails, a call to your local law
enforcement agencies would be in order. You might also try Samll Claims
court, as long as you've still got all the paperwork that documents
exactly what you ordered and what you paid for it.

You will need to talk to a lawyer about how to sue, and if you retain him or
her - the fee is usually one-third (plus expenses) of any compensation you
might get.
