Ive DL ATI Tool and it crashed my computer around 550, temps went way up. Anybody have stable settings for this GPU w/oc on stock cooling? Also, how do you flash it to x850 xt? It is a Vivo chip, but being new to computer Ocing I dont even know how to back up a Bios! lol I know I have to flash the x850 xt bios to my gpu, but dont know how to back up the old bios just in case! Obviously I need a new GPU fan so whats a good one? Any advice would be great for OCing this GPU or fashing it to XT to open up the extra pipes would be great fellas!

Everything is always at your own risk, and just because someone else gets a certain result with a GPU doesn't mean the same card you bought will result out exactly the same, you may not be able to go as high, or your card may actually OC higher.
 
A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing when it comes to OCing soREAD and STUDY and then READ and STUDY again, and again if you have to until you understand what you're doing, before you attempt anything!
 
If you still have questions study other resources, until you understand, before you even attempt flashing a GPU BIOS, when you fully understand everything, then and only then attempt what you want to do.
 
OCing can give you a performance edge if you have enough sense to know when to quit and settle for your gains, but if you're a gambler OC'r and always need a little more, no matter what you just achieved, you may be better off not OCing at all.
 
Of course we all have to learn and I'm as guilty of destroying a perfectly fine component as anyone, but I do try to warn new OCers of the possibilities to make you aware, OCing can cost you what you're OCing.

1. I bios modded mine to the 850xt 540/540 bios, you need to check your mem chips and get a bios that matches them.
 
2. an x850xt can not really run with the small cooler that comes on the x850 pro, unless you go into atitool and change the fan speed settings:
 
<50 82%
<60 86%
>60 100%
 
or get an aftermarket cooler

 
I used that site when I got my X850 pro and it works like a charm. I did replace the stock cooling with an Artic Cool set up (cost me $20 w/ shipping). I just OC'd my card to the X850 XT PE specs. I never bothered to push it anything beyond that.
