I have a laptop with 512mb of DDR Ram running at 166mhz. I can add another dimm of 256mb to bring the total to 768mb but then the speed will reduce to 133mhz.
Which will be faster:
512mb @ 166mz or 768mb @ 133mhz, (the timings are slightly faster at 133mhz)
I mainly use the laptop for office work, web browsing and a bit of photoshop. Any advice will be most welcome..

256 MB DDR SODIMMs are so cheap on the used market these days that it's almost not worth listing them for sale. It should be easy to get a 166MHz or 200MHz SO-DIMM for $10-20. Use that - having 768MB will help a lot in Windows (of course, having 1024MB or 1536MB would help a lot more).
