ok i have a geforce 7600 GT i can play on high graphics but i get like 20 fps which = lag. How do you overclock graphics cards ? and how much can i overclock it by? will i get more pixelpipelines? or does it just affect the core clock?
Also my GPU is 60c on idle and load except 1 day when it was colder and gpu dropped to 57c. what is like the maximum tempature that i dont want it to reach?
The 7600 GT has no 'hidden pipelines' to unlock, but you can increase the core ands memory speeds.
If you're lucky you can get about to a 15% to 20% improvement in performance without voltmodding, so your 20fps would increase to maybe 23 or 25 fps if you're lucky.
Use the Nvidia FAQ to get safe temps, it depends on your GPU, my old 6600GT would idle at 65-67 and peak at 100C, but according to nvidia that was OK, check their site they'll tell you what is ok in their opinion, and i'd say that they have an important one.
