Hello, my name is Jennie . How may I help you?
Ivaylo Ivanov: Hello.
Ivaylo Ivanov: I recently got some DDR2-677 from Fry's.
Ivaylo Ivanov: I put the two 1 GB sticks into my motherboard, and they wouldn't work. My computer would just hang after the Windows logo screen.
Ivaylo Ivanov: Why might this happen?
Jennie : What is the Crucial sku number. This would be the CT part number Please?
Ivaylo Ivanov: CT12864AA667
Jennie : I will need to complete part number Please.
Ivaylo Ivanov: Isn't that the number?
Ivaylo Ivanov: Model number?
Jennie : No that is the base part. I need what is after the dot.
Ivaylo Ivanov: K16FK
Jennie : It is a lower density chip. What system make and model are you installing this ram into?
Ivaylo Ivanov: My own system. E6600, P5B Deluxe, 7600GT.
Jennie : How old is the system?
Ivaylo Ivanov: Less than a year.
Jennie : Have you updated the bios?
Ivaylo Ivanov: Yes it's the current one.
Jennie : This issue will require some in-depth troubleshooting. Ivaylo Ivanov: Ok thanks for the help.

Oh, maybe I forgot to say that I hate the new forum look. Hopefully I'm not the only one.  Anyway, back on topic. Besides the part where she says something awkward in "english", how do these people help anybody? I mean, I think that I would have done everything possible before going to them, even updating the BIOS. Wow this is just horrible. Yeah, anyone have any experience with Crucial and their support? On what products?

Best thing to do is run Memtest. You will be able to confirm on your own whether or not the sticks are bad.
