Fan contoller and cathodes

Hey guys I have a Ultra Aluminus full tower case and empty floppy and optical dive bays open so I decided to get a fan controller. Are there any that work with my setup?

2 120mm fans - 4 pin
1 80mm fan - 3 pin

Also I was wondering what the best cold cathode kits are - I want red. Also if possible I saw sound activated lights. Are those any good and what do I need to use them. Thanks in advance!

The Vantec NX9-305 should work fine. It can control up to 3 fans separately (I' actually controlled 5 in mine, 2 fans on channel 1 and 2, and 1 fan on channel 3.) The lights (which are blue) can be either turned off, on, or sound activated. You could probably find some red lights to use instead. You can either use 3-pin fans or use the 4-pin molex connection, it comes with power adapters to convert between 3-pin and molex.
I like this fan controller because instead of the fans just going low, it is possible to turn the fans completely off.

I don't know if any CCL are better than another other.

Be sure to check for knob clearances with your case.

oh yea how would I figure out how big the knobs are?

The knobs are a little bigger than 3/8" in diameter. The front plate that the knobs are mounted on is flush with the case.

I have the Vantec 3-fan and 2 cathode light controller. The 2 cathode 12" lights comes with the fan controller. I got it in Newegg. I got the blue and don't know if they have the red. Anyways it works really nice and fits on a 5 1/4" drive bay. Now it's controlling my 2 gpu VF900 cooler and one HD 120mm fan. The cathods are nice touch but weird thing is when I want a sound activated mode during heavy overclocking it causes instability so I just use it as a permanents lighting. Anyways the Vantec controller is a great product. Highly recommended.

Correction. The Vantec Nexus fan controller fits on a 3.5" drive bay, same drive bay for floppy drive which your case have 2 of them in the bottom.

I don't have much experience, but everything I've heard says that red lights have a tendency to look pink. I know the yellow cathodes i picked up made my case look white.

Just so the OP knows, that controller is available in both 3.5" and 5.25", the 3.5" is the 305, the 5.25" is the 301. Go with whichever you want.
