Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for such question, but still, any help would be apreciated.

I have a Viewsonic VX922 monitor and I have recently started working with photographs. One thing I have noticed straight away is that my monitor does not display photographs correctly. Does anybody know a good way to tune the colour balance/contrast/brightness/gama levels in order for it to display images in their true form? I have tried using monitor tuning utility that come with Nvidia drivers, but the images are still displayed wrongly.

Not sure if it's relevant but my graphics card is 6800GT.

Please advise how i can tune my monitor, or direct me in the right directs.

Thanks.

Viewsonic monitors come with a CD that has tuning software on it, [At least all the Viewsonics I've dealt with did], maybe you need to install that program and follow the step by step tuning process.

Your problem is colour calibration. If you are into digital photography at a professional level then get yourself a good CRT monitor.

Otherwise you have 2 options.

1. Try some calibration software (I have provided some links)

2. Your best bet is to get it done with special hardware but this is only recomended if you know someone who has it. Otherwise it is too expensive.
