SATA drive not lighting HDD LED

Not a big deal, but I finished a new build using SATA disk drives and the HDD LED at the front of the case isn't lighting up. Upon closer inspection the HDD LED wire is labeled something like "IDE LED". I don't have any IDE writeable devices so I can't test the LED with them. I'm wondering if SATA writes don't activate the IDE LED. Anybody know?

The IDE LED should be activated from the SATA drives also. Are you sure you placed the jumper connections correctly? Might want to double check with your mobo manual.
