Hi

Just been given a "new" laptop running xp pro. The sound is up the spout -
crackles and misses bits out - happens on files and CDs, and even things
like the widows welcome theme.

Has anybody got any ideas of what to do?

Thanks

Better yet, make use of your warranty if it is a "new" laptop before you
screw it up even more.
