Motherboard BIOS temperature?

Hey, anyone know what a good temperature for a motherboard in BIOS is? Mine is scaring me because the CPU is at 18 degrees C, the motherboard is at 28 degrees C, and I had to erm... modify the motherboard cooling a bit to get my CPU heatsink in.

Is this a good thing or bad?

It wasn't a big modification... I'm using the Thermaltake Big Typhoon, and it didn't fit perfectly in my passive-cooled Asus p532n premium motherboard, and I had to slightly bend some fins on the passive cooling.

I'm worried that the mobo fins aren't getting enough air from the Big Typhoon, since the heatsink is so high. But those temperatures are good?

Oh, the room temperature is about 60 degrees F, so maybe the readings are wrong?
