Doing a Bench Test

I s there a way of checking to see all components are going at the right speed. I was playing Simcity 4000 and it seemed a little sluggish when I zoomed in on my city which was tiny at the time. I figure since I have a x1900xtx I could max out all graphics options even with an E6300. Certain settings were high (maximum) some settings were at medium. Should I run a bench test to see if graphics card and eveything else are working at optimized speed? My system shouldnt be sluggish. I dont play FPS. I have Simcity 4000, Sims2 Pets, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Caesar IV and Civilization IV just to name a few. These games should run at maxium settings with a E6300 and grpahics mentioned above. Any Opinions? Thanx a bunch

Wow, even demanding for a dual core system? Or is it because I have the e6300 (1.86). The conroes in the 2's would of been better? Strange, Sims2 looked faster and wasnt coughing as much as Simcity 4000.

Can I get the 3d mark 05 or 6 on download.com?
