Which kit should I go with

Ok, I have been deliberating for many weeks on how I want to water cool my PC. I am only going to be cooling CPU (D805 @ 4.0Ghz+) for now.

Here are my choices:

1) Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultra---$240

2) Swiftech H20-120 ---$150

3) DIY kit with the Apogee block used in both kits above, Danger Den MAG II LE pump, Swiftech Dual 120mm Rad, and using a T-Line and Fill-Port.---$190

What I'm asking is what do you guys all think I should do. I would like to keep it internal (Option 2) but it might not even be possible to fit it in my Antec SuperLanboy case.

Does the performance addition of the dual rad kits (1 & 3) outweigh the price increase? I was hoping to spend under $200 but if the Apex kit is going to be better, I can probably swing the extra $40/90.

How much performance increase can I expect going from a single 120mm rad inside my case (2 fans in push/pull) to a dual rad outside my case with 2 fans (push/push or pull/pull?)

Has anyone used UV dye inside UV tubing? For example, blue UV tubing with red UV dye, I think it may look coool with a red/purple core and blue outside.

Guess I'm not understanding everything. None of the kits have a GPU block and I won't be using two rads, the difference only being a single 120mm rad or a single (dual fan) 240mm rad.

Is the DD Mag II LE not a good pump? I have only heard/read good things about it, and told it would run my loop just fine.

Been browsing eBay very much in the last couple weeks, haven't ran across but a couple Apogee blocks that sold for more than websites charge and havent seen a single Storm. A few TDX's but they are all buy-it-now for overpriced. I will continue lookin though.

Thanks for the tip on the guide, very nice!

anytime wusy

btw, we should create a specific "water cooling" and related section, and throw the guide that is already in "cooler and heatsinks" along with some other things in there as well.

The Swiftech Storm cpu water block and MCP655 pump is a very good performance components. I know that for sure since I currently use them with my DIY cooling loop.

Is the A64 version the same block inside? That doesn't seem like it would be a tough mod. My grandfather has a laser cutter that could easily cut a piece of 1/8" steel or something and drill the holes in it.
