Hi there,

I was wondering what would be th best option for immediate gaming performance increase: this month i want to buy either 2 SLI video cards or 1 video card and a processor.
My Mobo is the Asus P5N32.
SLI cards i would consider: (1) 7950GTX (2) X1950 XTX
The processor would be: Intel D950 Dual Core 3.4Ghz

Oh and what would be the cheapest website to order this hardware from?

Thanks in advance for you advice.

Regards,
Antonio

SLI/Crossfire is a big waste of money. You only get around 5-10fps more and it generates a lot of heat inside the case. I suggest you wait until November - nVidia is releasing their new line of graphics card (8800GTX & 8800GTS), which promises to be quite awesome.

If you can afford it, you might want to try upgrading to a Core 2 Duo. But you should upgrade the graphics card first.

What would be the best option for immediate increase - buy a X1950XTX and save the rest for an upgrade to Core 2 Duo.

What *I* would do if I had the money and *had* to buy something now - buy a C2D 6300, an X1950Pro or X1900XT, and a motherboard to go with them.

What *I* would do if I had the money and *didn't* have to spend it immediately - wait for the new nVidia cards, then buy an 8800GTS.
