hey ppl
i was actually about to upgrade my card to 7950 Gx2 but some wise guy told me not to do so cuz 8XXX is on its way.....
i actually want brute force in graphics
should i still wait for 8XXX series or go for 7950GX2 ???
i-e will i be able to get 7950GX2 like frames in 8800GTS or NOT !?
enlighten me :)

I suspect that the 8800GTX will own the 7950GX2, but you're talking like 100fps vs 150fps, which is totally not noticeable. Your choice, if you need one bad, get it now, otherwise wait for the 8800GTX and be able to play all the new DX10 games in all their glory. I'd hold out for the 8800GTX, since it won't be priced much higher than the 7950GX2 is right now.

Hold off for about three weeks, then read the benchmarks and know for sure.

That said, in my opinion, trying to buy the fastest DX9 PCI-e card right now is stupid and a waste of money, but if you're rich enough, be my guest. DX10 and Vista are right around the corner, so it would probably pay to save your money and wait.
