Zalman CNPS9700 LED

I have the ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED on mi Asus P5LD2-VM, the RPM is constant
2650 RPM. The Bios setting are seth on SILENTS. Normaly , the ven is adjusting the speed automatique. That is not working. The speed is Constant. 2650 Rpm. The zalman is working without the optional speed controller.

My CPu information : Core 2 Duo E6400 LGA775

I'm not certain on this, but I believe the included Fanmate is required in order to adjust the speed of the Zalman. I believe the stock Intel heatsinks use 4 pin connectors which is part of the system that adjusts the stock fan's speed, but I'm not 100% on this as it's a bit hard to research. Could be wrong.

i got one spinning infront of me at the moment, if u got the fan2mate plug in, it will override nething that wants to try to switch the fans speed, if you want to keep the controller plugged in, just use the double sides tape n stick it somewere, or be like me! just put it on max hide it inside the case and WUALA!
