im looking at around 300 to 350 because everything is still under warranty and can be if need be sent back for replacement through newegg.com
do you think thats a fair price or am i underselling or overselling?...
When I go to sell someting I look up what its worth as a new item, and I will either match it or sell under that price which will vary depending on quality.
For you i would recomend looking up each part on newegg see what the current value is, and then either match it or go maybe 10-20% below it. If your price is already below the new ratail price, its fine.
i did that prior to but i think im underselling...
my chip is worth 180 and the ram was 120 the mobo is 60 and the case is like 127 dollars..the psu is still around 40 or 50 and the video card i dont think is made anymore...so id say around 600
i guess maybe 400 sounds good....or 375....
I've never actually sold an old computer... they always get outdated and find there way as piles of parts stuffed onto shelves in my basement.
Then some rainly day I build some POS slow file server with the extras laying around.... but good for serving files! Or as a backup in case of emergency, spare computer for the kids, test system etc. Just save it. Why throw away a few hundred dollars with nothing to show for it?
In most cases you get more money parting out your system. That being said... sell me your ram for $60.
And looking up the price for new, then adjusting ~25% per year its been used works well. If the demand is high, then you can sell closer to %85 percent of the cost of the item new.
$300 - $350 is too much for your system. Even though it is only a year old, you have very old components. If you already have people lined up and are will to pay the price you are asking for then quickly sell it before they become any wiser.
