I ordered this from newegg a few days ago.

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
C2D E6700
Sapphire 256MB X1900XT
Corsair XMS2 2GB (2x1024) DDR2
WD Raptor 150GB 10k RPM HD
Lite-On 16x DVD-RW

All powered by this:

Previously, I was using this,

http://www.newegg.com/product/prod [...] 6817341002

but I RMA'd it because the OCZ PSU is for SLI and didn't have adequate power on the 12V rail.

I started up my computerand installed Windows XP along with all of my drivers. I never updated the BIOS, however, which I probably should have done. The next time I restart it, it doesn't boot. The red LED on my GPU still comes on, which I thought to be indicative of inadequate power. That's why I upgraded my PSU; the Silverstone one is plenty to power the rest of my system as well as the 1900XT.

I'm posting this now because the red LED still comes on, even after I correctly plugged in the new power supply. From what I've searched for on the internet, I've found that it's most likely a bad GPU or mobo. I RMA'd both and replacements will arrive later in the week. If this doesn't fix the problem, does anyone have any other ideas as to what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance.

Needless powersupply RMA.

Something is loose. Take out all cards and RAM and try again.

Make sure vid card has xtra power cable in it.

Update BIOS that RAM is probably 2 volt and the board defaults at 1.8 I think.

Guess that was a waste of time, then. Oops.

I'm not extremely computer savvy, as you can see. Everything was plugged in correctly, though. It booted flawlessly before all the drivers were installed, and 10 seconds later it wouldn't boot.

Hopefully it's a mobo issue, we'll see after I get my parts. I'll update later.
