Forum software seems to corrupt pasted URLs

Bump for a response -- hello forum maintainers!

I was watching all this time too.

At the toolbar (at the top) There is a 'chain' icon that says 'url' if you hold your mouse over it. I was experiencing the same problem you are describing. I started highlighting all the url's I pasted and copied onto the post and clicking that 'url' chain icon. It worked.

Quadrupling the number of steps needed to perform a common operation -- now that's good software design!  

I know. Really, I just keep poking around on the stupid thing like I do most stuff. Here I am. Don't ask me how.

Some url links I copy and paste onto a post work and others don't? So far, highlighting the url and clicking on that url icon has worked.

The whole URL thing was driving me f...ing crazy. I checked the manual and it says any link with http or www should be auto formated to be a link. The links show up in the preview and are not broken, however when posted they break. The chain button seems to be a work around until they fix this bug, assuming they ever do. Thanks for the insight badge. I really didn't want to have to type all the time. " target="_blank"> all the time.

OK, so how many days does everyone think it will take for the Forum maintainers to acknowledge this? We're at 15 days and counting...

That last comment may get you a PM from the Mods about the possibility of you becoming extinct! Fifteen days, fiteen years...what d they care...it's only thier job.

Edit: Seems to be working now. I just pasted a url from the CPU forum - and it works ok. Is this still an issue?
