Hello,

I am getting the following error from past 2 days :-

It says "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your Computer".

Status: 0xc0000225.

Since i dont have the recovery disc so i downloaded the one from torrent but of no use as it failed to read from the USB.

Can anyone please help ?

Does your computer support booting from a usb drive? Have a friend download the win 7 repair disc on to a CD/DVD and try that. You can check this web site for your repair disk. http://cybernetnews.com/windows-7-recovery-disc/

For me, problem was caused by installing Windows while local disk plugged on a SATA3 port. It has to be temporarily plugged on SATA2 controller for installation before swapping back the local disk to a SATA3 port. Microsoft should fix.
