I want to buy a computer from a guy, he's selling it for 600 bucks.

He used this computer to record his tracks and make some mixing stuffs (cause hes kinda a beatmaker).. so yeah this computer is good for music and stuff but for my part, I just want to know if this computer will run good for games? I meant, I want to play games such as counter-strike 1.6 on it.. will it runs great? is this computer great? what do you guys think about this? -sry for my grammar, my english is kinda broken lol

Specs:
hardware
amd athlon 1.8 ghz
1 go ram
graveur cd
disque dur 80 go
soundcard audigy platinum
videocard nvidia 5700

Software:
winxppro sp2 with updates already done
cubase sx3
reason 4

+
screen crt 15po
keyboard/mouse

another question:

if i buy it, i should format it so it could be cleaner. but if i dont have the format cd and stuffs.. if i dont reformat it, is it really dangerous or it will be fine tho?

You could build an AMD AM2 X2 3880+ with a 17" LCD for around $600, at least in the US. I think that is way too much for that machine. You check prices for similar set up on EBay. Off the top of my head I'd guess around $200 - $250 give or take. As to making beats, you don't need much of a machine. My granddaughter did it on an old Penium III. FYI it should be GB not go unless go stands for Gigabyte in another language :)
