You could build an AMD AM2 X2 3880+ with a 17" LCD for around $600, at least in the US. I think that is way too much for that machine. You check prices for similar set up on EBay. Off the top of my head I'd guess around $200 - $250 give or take. As to making beats, you don't need much of a machine. My granddaughter did it on an old Penium III. FYI it should be GB not go unless go stands for Gigabyte in another language
