CPU

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
- Core Speed 2415
- Multiplier x 12.0
- Bus Speed 201.3
- HT Link 1006.3

Motherboard

M2n32-SLI Deluxe ACPI Bios Revision 0706

Memory

Corsair CM2X1024-5400C4 (PC2-5300)
Frequency - 301.9 MHz
FSB:DRAM - CPU/8

BIOS is set to DDR 667 as well to hopefully force the right MHz.

And now to my problem. Should the frequency not be 333 MHz? Instead of 300? I imagine it's because of the FSB:DRAM divider however I can't seem to find the setting for it in BIOS to save my life.

As for the rest of the info listed I understand it to a point but I've been out of the computer scene for over 2years and dealing with quite a bit of new tech. So HT, DDR2, and a few of the others are new to me and the info makes sense but without a reference it's hard to say that xxx number is fast if I don't have a reference to that tech. Been doing as much catching up as possible in such a short time but so far searching the forum I've been unable to come up with a solution to this one.

The memory devider on AM2's now lacks the half devider that are present on the 939 pin X2's. This means that for some CPU frequencies the memory will be underclocked.

I ran into this problem with my AM2 x2 4200 and DDR2 800 ram, this would run at 700 odd MHz at default speed and the only way to get 800MHz was to overclock to the next speed, in my case increase FSB upto 220MHz.

You can try overclocking you CPU slightly to get upto the required frequency. I used CPUZ and some maths to work out the increase needed.
