These are specs of my new rig:

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E6400 2.13Ghz
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB or Nvidia GeForce 7900GT
HD: Sata2

I plan on overclocking my CPU to 2.4 Ghz, does anyone have any recommendations on a good mother board that supports this and is not extreamly expensive

Also which Graphic card do u think i chould choose with that.

Thx in advance

For good overclocking go for the Gigabyte DS3 for ~150, the Abit AB9 Pro or the Asus P5B deluxe for a little more. Go for the ATI, definately. You should even be able to pick up an XTX for not too much more.

have a look at wuzy's overlcoking guide to see which boards OC well.

That'll give you a good subset to work with, then pick based on features and price.

Also look at the posts that ask for 'help...' as there are some common boards running through that, but this might be because they have large volumes.

Even a nVidia 570 could OC to that pathetic goal...

The 7900GT is the best choice now that all the X1900XT 256mb are gone. Strong rummors of a X1950XT very soon are humming around tough.

I wanted to give the OP an opportunity to research the good stuff for himself, he PM'd me and I sent him the link, hopefully he'll also realise that a lot more is possible than just 2.4
