Going to go for my first build and have put together the following list of components.....let me know your thoughts.....use will be primarily for gaming.

Just curious, but what CPU are you using?

And make sure that SATA burner is compatible with your motherboard, heard it had loads of compatibility issues...

Yeah, I second the CF comment. Maybe a single X1950XTX? Or a G80/R600 card.

I hear the BX2 mobo should be out soon, full support for Quad.

Oops forget the most important part, looking to use the x6800 for cpu.

What is the advantage of the Corsair 5400 Pro memory over the corsair twinx xms memory, besides leds lights and price?

I have since found a dvd buner that is non-sata that I like better.

I like the x-fi elite pro since it gives me the option to hook up things like turntables from my desktop.

So one x1950 until the DX10 cards come out?

X6800 is a little overkill, no? What about the E6700 or E6600?

With all these fancy stuff, why not some DDR2-800?

I think one X1950XT(X) should last you until the second generation of DX10 cards, maybe Q3/Q4 of 2007. Unless you can wait for the first gen..
