i want to now wat is better, and y is the price on the 4600x2 little cheeper.

The 4600x2 is a few dollars cheaper because of the core.. The manchester core is not the better core... The toledo is the better core. The 4400+ is the good core.

4600x2 is faster just get that 1 & don't worry urself over economies of scale

The 4600+ is cheaper because it has 2x512kb L2 cache, whereas the 4400+ has 2x1MB L2 cache. Cache is expensive to implement on processors.

Probably because production of all Athlon 64 CPUs with 2MB of L2 cache have been ended some time ago.

The x2 4600+ is faster than the 4400+ based on many benchmarks so you might as well go for it.
