I have the evga 7600 GT KO and I've tried to OC it but it eventually keeps crashing my PC. Just wondering if neone was able to get the speeds higher than the stock speeds (580/750)

thanks for the help :D

You'll probably need more cooling and a voltmod to get more speed out of it :)

The 7600GT is the fastest example of the 7600 GPU, and as such is not as overclockable as say, the 7900GT which is the same GPU as is used in the higher clocked 7900GTX. The 7600GT already runs at the limit of the GPU design.

For me to get my GPU to OC I put on a Zalman VF900 - CU VGA Cooler.
also have pretty good case flow.. I got it to overclock to 653 before rivatuner rebooted my machine.
after that i havn't overclocked it again...

The 7600 GT's 90nm core allows u to overclock even past 650Mhz.

This cannot be done with the cooler that the card comes with.
Buy a VF900 or Accelero X1 cooler for 20-30$.

Maybe try going a little slower and testing..Like 585Mhz, test. 590Mhz test. Smaller increments when it starts to artifact and what not. And five minutes of game-play isn't a test. Solid gaming or a 3D Mark '05/'06 loop.

I think playing FEAR (about max settings), Company of Heroes, Oblivion is a pretty good test. I ran 3dmark2006 a few times but you can't count on it unless you run it with "run each test 5 (or more) times". Solid gameing is the right answer.
