i'm pretty much looking for something in the price range of 50 bucks if possible. i have a very cheap video card that i use only for the tv out output. i really would just like to keep everything powered and cooled.
i've got:
p4 2.4GHz
a pcchips p25g MoBo
120mm antec case fan (have it set on high at around 2200rpm)
two 400gb 7200 rpm ATA 100 HD's
320gb WD ata 133 HD
80gb 5400rpm ata 133 HD
sata 320gb HD
1.5gb kingston pc3200 of DDR SDRAM
an nVidia 5500 FX video card (in PCI slot)
a 5.1 surround sound card (in PCI slot)
an IDE controller card (in PCI slot)

i'd like to add a few more things down the road like a fan or another HD.
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I think the bigger issue is that your a person, not a company who he can return products and ask for support...

Not that I'm casting doubt on your word, but I personally would pay more for safety of mind... especially with people out there selling XBOX360 boxes on EBay... bastards need to be shot.

He's looking for a good PSU for under $50. So i showed him one.

The one i would really recommend is this one.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104954

But that puts him $1 over after shipping. FPS is one of the best PSU manufactures.

The FSP Group 450w PSU recommended by mpilchfamily is a good deal.

While the PSU RobsX2 is better, it also second hand. If you don't mind buying a second hand product then go for it. But if it fails within the warranty period and you are not the original buy, well...
