Ouch! God knows what chips the shoved in there... could be anything..
I would dare to say that you could expect ~350Mhz FSB @2.2v
Why these specific modules?

a friend of mine from local store told me he used it with e6600 and p5w dh deluxe @ 3.2ghz using 400mhzx8 for 24/7 operation.

he was able to achieve 400mhz ram freq. (i don;t know in what timing and voltage he ran it though). at the stock speed: 333mhz, he was able to reach 4-4-3-8 with 1.8-1.9v i forgot which one of the voltages was the one he chose.

so my point in this thread is other people get near or similar result with overclocking it? or he's just being lucky :p (btw, he's using a 2x 512mb, not 2x 1gb).

if many people experience almost the same result than i would give it a try. the 2gb ddr2 667 dual kit takes $250, and 2gb ddr2 800 dual kit takes $400. corsair value select ddr2 667 2g takes the same amount of price with the super talent ddr2 667 at $250.

Well the CL and volts tricked me for sure :p
But looking at the big picture, SuperTalent does use high-end Micron D9s in their 800 CL4 so it would make sense theyre using quality modules here too.
As a rule of thumb you should expect ~20Mhz difference on the same modules. And if hes running under 2.3v ild definetly recommend them.

2gb ddr2 800 dual kit takes $400.
I hope youre talking in australian dollar or something

yeah i'm not quiet sure about the voltage he used back then. i'll try to confirm it later when i have the chance to get to his store.

errr.. unfortunately, it's an USD currency. very skyrocketed price, eh?

since there's no super talent distributor in Indonesia, the store has to import the ram from USA manually. corsair twinx2048 ddr2 800 (not sure whether it's c4 or c5 timing) costs as much as $375 because of there is main distributor here in Surabaya, Indonesia.

i've check the shipping cost from fedex, and for one ram, it could take me up to $195 for importing one ram (dual 2gb kit), that's included the import tax, the somewhatever tax i didn't pay attention closely, and the custom fee. so the total government administration fee would be as much as up to 40% of the original imported price. not forgetting the fedex shipping cost for 500 gram or below = $75.

this kind of matter sucks!

ok i got new info again from him.

he was running 4-4-3-8 timing with 2.1v @ ddr2 667. now he's currently using 4-4-3-9 timing with 2.1.v @ ddr2 800.

this value budget ram from super talent is priced for $250 (2gb ddr2 667 c5). another type is priced for around $3xx (2gb ddr2 800 c4). and the rest is priced for around $4xx (2gb ddr2 1000). they are all directly imported from usa.

yeah i know. i've never used ebay, don't know when will start to try though.

err.. i don't know if he want to do that since he's already stable at his timing and i'm not really be a "close" friend of him, just a some sort opportunist customer

so i guess that value ram is a worth to try, eh.

The stock voltage is 1.8v! Those are some cool ICs under the hood.

i'm also considering of the super talent dual 2gb kit ddr2 800 c4 would be a nice companion.
The 4-4-3-8 one is the best chips you can buy. Its been proven that theyre the same chips Corsair uses in its Dominator series and 800CL3 just to give you an idea. Those are capable of 4-4-3-8 500Mhz @1.95v

hell yeah! super talent rocks

btw, has anyone tried the ddr2 800 c4 running with 3-3-3-8 timing up to 2.2v @ ddr2 800?

Even the newegg n00bs could do it!

i'm sorry, i didn't get your message here. so you are saying that the supertalent ddr2 800 c4 may reach the 3-3-3-8 timing at ddr2 800 speed?

i could not find any review running the supertalent ddr2 800 c4 with 3-3-3-8 timing, with up to 2.2v, at ddr2 800 speed.

on some site reviews -sysopt.com included- reported that its max oc. was 11xx mhz at 5-5-5-15 with 2.4v if i'm right remembering it that way.

From a newegg customer review:
The Super Talent T800UX2GC4 2GB DDR2 800MHz memory kit overclocks higher with stock timings then all other brands (at the time I'm writing this). I am able to reach STABLE at 1.1Ghz with 2.3V and the stock time of 4-4-3-8 AMAZING!

The voltage may be a little high but hes running extremely good timings for 550Mhz. The regular 800CL4 sets need 2.4v and 5-5-5-15 to reach some 533Mhz...

I would be carefull to pay too much attention to those reviews. Not everyone leaves reviews and know what they are talking about. But none the less, this seems like some good memory.

But for sure the ones with DOAs and exploding stuff, mostly this is what I take them for. But no pro reviews have been written of this specs.
Even so, I dont doubt the power of their D9GKX 60-ball Micron ICs!
