AHCI Port 0 Device error Win7 64 Bit

AHCI PORT ERROR 0 Press F2 to continue...this error shows on my Gateway zx4800 but when i press F2 nothing happens. need help.S.M.A.R.T capable and status BAD.....it also show this above the AHCI error. my hdd works with other pc

HDD has failed, if under warrenty contact Gateway for replacement, if not, purchased one of the net, install and reload Windows.

You didn't by chance change in the BIOS Sata configuration setting from IDE mode to AHCI mode before this happened?
