Yeah it might be, it has been a very popular card as of recent times. So your probably thinking the right thing.

Yeah, just a couple of weeks ago they had a Saphire X1900XT for $259, and an open box one for $210-220. Those suckers sold out quick.

I believe they've stopped manufacturing them in lieu of the X1950 Pro 256mb.

They have sadly. All is left is the overpriced Asus model.

Yeah, I got a new HIS for $220 w/ rebate and within a few hours they were gone. Haven't seen any since.

I found that Asus card, but Im not sure if I should get it. I dont plan to use crossfire, and I have been looking for a x1900xt 256mb with no luck.
All I find is those cripple 1900GTs.
The asus card from the Newegg link looks prytty good but im not sure because they named it " ASUS EAX1900 CrossFire /2DH/512M 256-bit GDDR3"
Im thinking its a x1900xt 512mb
Will I be required to buy a second card to be able to use it.?
For 309.00usd +shipping it looks too sexy to just pass by.

whats a good card that is compareable to the x1900xt 256 ?
October 31, 2006 11:41:45 PM

EVGA 7900GTO, but they're getting scarce too :(

An X1900XT 512MB by MSI is available for less than $300 after rebate (as of 6:00 AM GMT), but is of course out of stock. I'm guessing this will soon disappear off the site as I doubt Newegg has anymore in stock.

X1950XT, where are you?

I jut got the HIS x1900xt 256mb. The one part I had to go somewhere other than newegg. I got it from Directron.com. They also have very good prices.

Why not get the EAX1950Pro that is on NewEgg for $165... should be a step above the 1900GT, but slightly below the XT...

The 165 ASUS is rarely in stock, especially at that price. Even the $199 Sapphire is gone now. ZZF still has both around 200 for now.

Edit: Just checked the Newegg and they say the ETA is 11/6, so if you can wait that long, they might be available then.

so a x1950 pro should be able to play cs:s at 1280 x 1024 with high settings? and also bf 2142 at 1280 x 1024 with mid to high settings?.... with a good and consistent frame rate.
November 2, 2006 2:10:42 AM

It should do fine @ 1280 rez.

with ease. My x850 can max both of those at the res and get superb framerates. (I run CSS at 6xaa 16xaf and still get respectable framrates that rarely drop below 40)

How much will those cost about? And how will they compare to the X1900XTs?

The X1950 pro is already out. They cost about $200 and are a bit better than a X1900GT, slower than the X1900XT. The real X1900XT 256MB replacement is the X1950XT. Those are not out yet and I am not sure on price. I'm guessing $300 but hoping it's less.

Here is a X1950XT:

Here's hoping it doesn't have a leaf blower for the cooler ;)

It's not too late. I just went there and the Sapphire X1900XT 256MB OEM was still in stock. For $219.99, that's one damn good price.

Desidude006: The 7900GTX is a better card than the X1900XT 256MB. You can find it at zipzoomfly for $299.99 after MIR. With the prices for the X1900XT series being high (except for the OEM at Newegg - for the moment that is), this was the only viable option.

TSIMonster: Recently I found out that the ASUS X1950Pro has no VIVO or a connector to put it in Xfire. If this is no big deal for people then it's a very good bargain for it's performance.
