Can I use ram higher that the suggested ddr2-667 with the Intel 975bx motherboard.

If so, what is the benefit of using ddr2-800?

yeah you should be able to but it will only work at ddr2-667, that is if the motherboard only supports up to ddr2-667.
Though I thought it allowed for hihger memeory speeds.... :roll:

benifit? Depends on the processor uarch. If its a core 2 duo not much of a performance upgrade, if its a pentium 4 then there will probably be a noticable difference, prescotts strive for bandwidth :D :D :D
