My mobo has worked flawlessly for me up to now due to my tinkering. I was doing some real world benchmarking with my Patriot DDR2 667 at different settings and timings. Everything was hunky-dory until I bumped it to 800 at 5-5-5-12 through the BIOS (the BIOS will let you change these parameters but not the 1.8v). When I tried to power up I would get the 3 beeps (memory error). So off I went to Intel's support page and tried both BIOS recovery methods with no luck. I tried this with everything hooked up, and only the floppy (no other drives) attached and still no luck. Same thing with the CD. I also tried unplugging the the PSU and removing the battery. Not sure what to try now as I don't have any or access to any 1.8v ram rated at 800 5-5-5-12. At the price of ram these days I can get a new DP965LT for $20 more than 512 MB of DDR2 800 5-5-5-12 1.8v Kingston ram. I'd rather not buy a new mobo as I want to get the Bad Axe 2 next year. Any help would be appreciated.
