VPN and ActiveSync issues

I just got my Dell Axim x30 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE. I am trying to
connect to my SBS2003 at work through the wireless.

When I did the set-up yesterday... I had it set-up correctly to sync the
inbox, calendar & contacts with the Exchange 2003 server. It worked
yesterday for about 2 hours. Then last night I started having problems
connecting with the VPN. Even to the point of where when I hit connect now
on the VPN connection settings... it does not even show a connection
attempt.

Then I go into activesync on the PPC and do a manual sync with the server...
I generally get this error:

"Your account does not have permission to sync with your current settings.
Contact your Microsoft Exchange administrator.

An error occured, and scheduled synchronization had to be disabled. To
start synchronizing on a schedule again, use the Mobile Schedule tab in
ActiveSync Options.

Error code: HTTP_403"

In the SBS2003, I have full rights... I can connect with the VPN from my
laptop just fine. I made sure that the SSL connection box is unchecked.

Help!

I do not have a vpn connection to my SBS server. Using Dell AximX5 and
wireless connection to the internet for activesync.
The error message you are getting is related to your logon.
Can you surf the internet from the Axim? if so can you connect to
yourfqdn/oma ?
Check the activesync settings tools, options, server make sure to enter the
correct fqdn and check "The server uses an SSL connection" box.
Unchecking this box would only work is you had port 80 forwarded to the SBS
Server.

hth.

I did that and got a bit farther - now my error message is "Cannot start
communications with desktop computer. Recconect your device. If the problem
persists, see Microsft ActiveSync Help." It is unclear what in Help I am
looking for or what Iam supposed to do know. Help!
