Hey,

I just got an HIS X1900XT 256MB (not the IceQ, just stock) a few weeks ago. It's working great and drawing around 27.5 amps when in heavy use. Can anyone else share their max current draw? I just checked it using ATITool.

Reason is, HIS says that the card needs 30A and my PSU is only rated at 28A. Like I said it has worked fine for weeks, but I'm not sure if it could draw more but is holding back. I don't even know if GPUs are smart enough to do that, LOL.

You must have one hellva heatsink if you're drawing 27 amps!

Actually, I don't know about that reading now, I've heard that ATITool can be off by quite a bit.

The thing is working, not locking up on me, so I'll just keep assuming that the PSU I've got is enough.
