Yesterday evening, my comp just froze. After rebooting, the CPU started up. However my monitor was blank and despite repeated reboots would remain blank. I removed and reconnected all the components and still got the same blank screen. I removed the monitor cable thinking that the cable connecting the monitor and CPU was faulty, but it was OK. I dont know what's gone wrong.

All experts out there, KINDLY HELP.

Here are my system specs:

ASUS A8N VM Motherboard
AMD Athlon 3200+
1024 DDR-400 Transcend SDRAM
Seagate 80GB SATA
Creative X-fi Xtreme Music
Liteon DVD Writer
Mercury 400 Watts PSU
Windows XP+SP2
Norton Client Security 10.315
Ad-Aware SE 2006

Ok, you've probably flooded it. Just let'er sit for awhile. After about 10-20 minutes I want you to push the peddle to the floor and hold it there. Then turn the ignition. That should get'er started.

Ok, I'm kidding.

Maybe your video card went bad?

It's quite possible your video card overheated. If there is no permanent damage it will work fine after sitting for 15 minutes.

You might need to replace the card though. Find a crappy video card for testing before spending a bunch of money on a good one though.
