DS4 CPU Fan Issue
My new build consists of Gigabyte DS4, E6400 on stock cooler and Geil DDR2 800Mhz 1Gig Ram. The stock cooler is pluged into the CPU fan connector on the mobo, next to the heatpipes. The connection is tight and secure. When I switch the comp on the fan looks as if its attempting to spin but then stops it does this for a about 10 seconds, not wanting to fry the cpu, I pull out the power plug. When I plug the fan into another fan connector on the mobo it works first time. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

The fan may not kick in until the CPU reaches a certain temperature. Sometimes it is possible to disable this feature in the Bios.
You can also set the Bios to automatically shut down the computer in case of overheating.
