Hi all,

I have an iPAQ HX4705, a desktop computer that has a bluetooth adapter
and an OKIData color laser printer that is no IR capable. I have the
printer set up via a LAN connection to my cable router, so I can print
wirelessly from my desktop and my laptop computers.

Is there a way to be able to take advatage of wireless printing from
my iPAQ? I use to have a HP LaserJet 2100 with an IR port and would
print that way, but can no longer take advantage of such a setup. Any
help or suggestions will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!
Regards,
Steve B.

Quite a lot of laser printers support some form of Postscript. Since
you won't be too worried about colour support on your PDA printouts,
why not get the HP mobile printing download.

You'll need to specify the IP address or UNC (windows) name of the PC
with the printer attached, and have enabled printer sharing in
windows.

Then on the PDA, start HP Mobile Printing (print manager), set it up
as network, choose HP printer types, then the last option (postscript)
or the LasetJet monochrome series and see if that works by printing a
test page from Print Manager.

If it does, it could be worth seeing if the printer reponds properly
to the Color LaserJet series commands.

Cheers - Neil
