Im using ntune to oclock my 7900gs and it gives me options to raise my gpu fans speeds(2d and 3d) in percentages. Stock they are at 20.02% for gpu(2d)
and 30.08% for gpu(3d)
My card i find really idles high at 50 C so im thinnking on putting the speeds up
But how much and how much is too much . Is it safe to do
any feedback would be appreciated

Also does anyone recommend detect optimal setting when overclocking

If anything...lowering your fan speeds is the only dangerous option.

Put them higher? more power to ya...

I am at 811Mhz memory and 609mhz 3d Clock Frequency with my eVGA 7900GS KO idle at 46C, around 63~ load, numers are amazing for such OC, eVGA sink is pretty good. That's a very high OC for that card, and stable still, no artifacts no nothing.

5500 3dmark score on 2.33 e6300. I think it's very nice since I ranked top among comparable systems. That's till I recieve my new CPU cooler in mail and the thermal grease.. shooting for 3.5 cpu.. don't think I can go higher with my 667 ddr2, though it ocs to 1067 without a prob.

My 3dmark06 best is 5870. i managed to get my 3d clock up to 630 but my memery tops out at 800 using coolbits. what should i use to try to get that higher? I had my e6300 clocked to 3.5 for that though.
