Good Day Folks,
I am still trying to get my new build to work. The specs are as bellow
Gigabyte DS4 F4 Bios
Core2Duo E6400
Seagate Barracuda HD 160Gig SATA
Richo DVD/RW PATA
Geil 800Mhz 1gig DDR2 (4,4,4,12)
Saphire X800 G/C
Tagen 550W PSU

The problem is that the Mobo does not reconise the SATA Seagate HD nor does it recognize the PATA DVD Drive.
The DVD Drive is set to master and the light on the drive comes on. Which SATA port am I supposed to plug the HD into the orange or purple ones? Any advice is eagerly awaited.

Did you get it to work yet, well for the colors it should not really matter, but you could go in order like 1,2,3 and so on, you should be able to see the numbers on the mobo pcb.

I did get it working eventually. Turned out the BIOS was needing to be flashed with the newest version (F6) I think.
My problem now is that WinXP SP2 does not recongise the 2nd core in CPU. Any ideas?
