the polls on the THG forum are to put it bluntly crap.

if you make a poll and vote in it, you cant see the outcome.
if you vote you cant see the out come.

i can see that if you see the outcome first you shouldn't able to vote, but if you vote you should be able to see the results. this is such a basic thing.

on top of that even if you click see the results, it just say your vote hass benn added.

good grief sort it out.

apart from that it i a very good forum. many thanks for running it.

So there is no chance they can be used to predict the outcome of the US Presidential election then??

I was hoping to cash in on early printing of T-Shirts ... now what do I do?

I get this when I try to view the results. Even if I don't vote I cant view the results.

after reading the posts on your test thread (which i see the same issues) it seems clear to me that maybe the UK client is a diffent build to the US (im form UK).

Same here. Whilst I can appreciate the need for subtly different versions of the main site depending on which part of world you are from, why oh cuffing why does there have to be different versions of the forum? There is absolutely no consistency of approach, it's so bleeding infuriating.

it really pisses me off that the UK version is worse than the American.

lets make this a little clearer...

on a fresh vote..

clicking "see results" will get you "your vote has been counted" then it will take you back to the thread.

clicking on an option then vote will get you "Your vote has been counted"

after voting clicking "see results" will get you "Sorry, you have already voted!"

you just cant view the results, i also do not know if the votes actually register.

if you do not select anything and click "vote" it will say that your vote has been counted.... wtf that should say please try again, or just use javascript to gray out the "vote" unless an option is chosen..
