evga stepup

hi, im going to step up my 7600gt to a 7900gs, but i lost my box. do i need it for the step up?

I don't think you need the box. Just be sure that the performance difference will be worth it to you as you'll have to pay for the difference based on full retail value. You can read all about it here: http://www.evga.com/stepup/default.asp?switch=2

I also have an evga card that I thought about doing that with before my 90 days was up (7900GT). However, after looking at exactly how it works, it's not that great of a deal. Unless you happen to buy one right before the next card series comes out and you can upgrade to a much better video card for very cheap.
