Need help new to overclocking

I have read wusy guide and attemptedd to follow it but i am having no luck

my motherboard is Gigabyte 965P DQ6
Cpu core 2 duo E6600
Ram: OCZ (OCZ2A8002GK) 2Gb PC2-6400 DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 ATI Certfified Dual Channel kit

Basically not sure where ive gone wrong following the guide but when i save and exit it wont be able to boot untill it resets the cpu back to the origiginal 2.4

You went into the M.I.T. section of the BIOS right?

Yea i see memory T before it reboots to defualt again :/
