Hello

A friend of mine bought a new system but it won't find the SATA harddisk.

System:

Intel Core 2 6400
MSI P965 Platinum
Corsair Twin2X1024 5400
Western Digital 250GB SATA II
XFX Geforce 7600 GT Extreme edition
dvd writer
dvd reader
PSU 400 Watt

You'll need to be more specific. What are you trying to achieve (perhaps install Windows?)? Exactly what did you do? What messages/indications did you get?

If this doesn't fix it, go to the WD web site and download the diegnotic/repair software, put it on a floppy, and boot from the floppy. Is the drive formatted?
