It uses M-JPEG compression on the video. There are several readers,
but the best way is to see if media player on the desktopn can read
the saved file, and sync it back to the PPC as windows media - it will
be converted to standard WM9 with a better degree of compression.
The PPC software provided by Veo itself with the camera has a viewer
for the video (though the camera has to be plugged in for it to run).
I'm surprised you've never tried it !
You can actually if you're quick, get the software to run without the
camera plugged in - just click to the photo/video gallery area before
it exits, you'll probably have about 1/4-1/2 second from when the
popup says 'camera not plugged in' to when the program exits to hit
the button ;-)

It's M-JPEG (motion JPEG) compression. The problem will be there are
very few players for the PPC which can read that format. Could be
worth a look with BetaPlayer.
** Actually I just tried it worked fine. Save the video as AVI on the
PPC and just browse to it in Betaplayer. If betaplayer is the standard
program for playing AVIs on your PPC (which it is by default after
install) then it will play fine.

Yeah it does ;-)
If you get stuck, HP's software for the "PhotoSmart" camera also works
and has some alternate features. This is because the PhotoSmart is the
same camera as the Veo (made by Veo for HP).
One other thing worth looking at while you're there is the Portrait
application for videochat which was updated last year to work with
this camera : http://research.microsoft.com/~jiangli/portrait
