finally i have the money to upgrade my crappy sempron to a core2
so this is what i have in mind:

mobo:
yet to be determined (depends of how good nforce6 is, if it sucks then probably an Asus P5W DH Deluxe)

psu:
Hiper HPU-4K580 Black Modular 580W

cpu:
core2 E6600

ram:
G-Skill DDR II PC6400 4-4-4-12 2X 1024MB HZ
(also looking to get the Super Talent T800UX2GC4)

hdd:
2xSeagate 320GB 7200RPM S-300 16MB 11MS (ST3320620AS)

gpu:
SAPPHIRE ATI X1900 XT 256GDDR3 PCI-E (or the x1950xt if available)
i'm waiting for dx10 so nothing to expensive here...

case:
yet to be determined
see this article for that:http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/case-ftopict207...

i have everything else like keyboard an mouse...
my budget is 1500-1600$ (with the case)
feedback would be nice :)

I would go for an E6400 and 8800GTX.

you might be right, but i'll wait and see how good the 8800gtx is.
i might be leaning towards the r600 and when that comes out, i'll have some money again 8)
i will not decide to buy a dx10 card untill nvidia and ati have a decent card on the market.
perhaps i should buy a cheaper card now?
