I have a x1900xtx with the 6.10 drivers and I run AA+HDR in Oblivion just fine.
I have AA set to 4X in CCC, everything else is default.

You may not have adequately removed the previous driver before installing 6.10. You really need to remove every last vestige of the old driver, Discard your boot drive and get a new one, reinstall Windows and get a new monitor.

But I'd start with really scrubbing the old driver off. ATi has instructions. Or you could use Driver Cleaner Pro.

Reset CCC to the default settings, then just turn on AA at 4X.
