I just wondering what your thoughts are on this build for gaming.

Antec 2.0 550w PSU
AMD Athlon X2 4600+
Asus M2N4-SLi Mobo
Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
2x SLi PNY Nvidia GeForce 7600GS 512mb
WD 10k rpm raptors in SATA Raid 0

CPU temps are around 27c idle and 34-37c loaded. I have a Zalman Heatsink that I must say is huge but I am impressed with it.

I also have the latest Nvidia drivers installed for the Video

I have this setup but am kind of disapointed since I am running the Dell 3007WFP monitor. I didn't realize that the Mobo only runs 8x in sli and was wondering if I would see a huge gain if I switched to the Asus Crosshair Mobo to get 16x on both video cards. I am running WoW at 2650x1600 with full detail and get pretty good FPS of 60. But when I run Hitman Blood money at full detail and lower resolution it chugs down :( any ideas what I should do ?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't SLI a pair of 7600's............a single 7900 GTO would blow em away for $250
The 4200 will OC clear past the 4600..
And the M2N32-SLI would be a better choice in mobo's for you..

:( Well I thought I researched enough on the cards but I didn't listen to my better half. (I listened to the cheap skate in me) I was going to go with the 7950GTs but I said why the 7600GS is just fine :( Oh well Im a dumb ass now I will have to spend more money on the new cards :x At least I have a spare computer that I can put one of the 7600GS cards in even though its just a file server

So do you all agree that the 7950GT running in SLI will be a good performer? As far as PSU I am guessing that the 550W antec I have won't cut it for 2 7950GT's? Any suggestions on another PSU? I really like the antec I have since it allows me to only attach the cables to it that I need allowing less clutter in my case. Thanks again
