AM2 Opterons?

There aren't any reviews on these. And I cant find any benchmarks.
The Opteron 121X processors using the Santa Ana core (socket AM2). How well do these compare to an equivalent Athlon X2? Will they OC better? I'm probably going to get an Opteron 1212, its 2Ghz.

oo, I'm getting that too, it's on it's way to my door sometime tomorrow :lol:


according to what I know, Opteron core are more stable and overclock better than Athlon X2.

Also, the Santa Ana 1212 is 103W compare to the 89W X2.

Cool. Are you going to overclock it? I'd love to see your experiences with this processor.

I cant find any detailed reviews or benchmarks on these Opterons anywhere...please post about it!

Logically it should be able to OC like mad, there shouldn't be no problem with that, However I still use s939 so I cannot test it
ALmost the entire line of Opterons are able to OC like mad, thats how AMD went on creating the 4x4 CPU, with tricks and technology from the OPteron chips, so my anwer to you would be, YES, it will OC, to how high?
